Punta Pitt is located on the eastern edge of San Cristobal Island. The trail comprises an olivine beach approximately 90 meters and a path that climbs to the top of a hill of tuff passing through several natural viewpoints.
The total length of the trail is 1,400 meters and the estimated time is two hours.

This is the only site in the Galapagos Islands, where you can see the three species of boobies and two species of frigates nesting in the same area. The reason are the three species of boobies at Punta Pitt it is due to the geographic location; is enough food so there is no competition between them. The blue-footed boobies nest inside (rarely on the cliffs), the red-footed boobies nest on bushes and masked nest on the cliffs. An additional attraction is the presence of sea lions.
Staff of the Technical Office of San Cristobal, conducts periodic controls introduced animals especially cats and rats, this in order to avoid the lava lizards and chicks marine and terrestrial birds are eaten.
Special indications
There are parts of the trail that are difficult to walk, a steep ravine that can be very slippery and therefore dangerous to climb there.
The beach where we disembark is a resting place for young male sea lions and retired adults. One must be careful with these animals and keep distance so as not to disturb them.
