Located on James Bay, on the northern side of Santiago Island, Espumilla Beach is a beautiful white-sand beach which has been popular with visitors since the days of whalers and pirates, who would land here to load up on fresh water.

There are some mangroves at either end and you can take a walk through a small palo santo forest to get to some salty lagoons. These lagoons are home to wading birds like flamingos, stilts and pintail ducks.
